The Dramione Fanfics of Camnz

Camnz is a writer of Draco Hermione fanfics on fanfiction.net. All her Dramione fanfics are to die for. They are captivating and intriguing. There is usually no happily ever after. In her stories, Draco and Hermione's relationships are heated and complicated, almost harmful. Just like Dramione is supposed to be. I like her stories the most because she gives a realistic view of how a relationship between a "canon" Hermione and Draco would work it if it were to happen. She also writes Hermione/Lucious fanfics. I have not read them since I am not a fan of the pairing, but they are probably also very good.

I read each fanfic in a single day. They were just that good! I now patiently follow her new stories. She is a very reliable fanfic updater and you can almost count on one chapter update per week. Once she finishes a story, she usually starts a new one right away. Camnz is also a writer of her own original stories. She can be found on amazon.com under the name of Camille Oster. I've read all her books since I really enjoy her sensible heroines and realistic stories.

Hermione and Draco both work at the Wizamagot. I had never read a fanfic where they do so that in itself is interesting. And to me, I see Hermione working for the Wizamagot rather than as an Auror. Draco and Hermione are kind of friends. Draco sometimes teases Hermione but she's fine with it. But lately Draco is becoming insufferable around her. Hermione is tired of putting up with him. He's driving her nuts and not in a good way. The picture above is a fan art of this fanfic. Draco corners Hermione is a "file room" and asks her out to dinner. If not, he really will bother her until she goes crazy!

One of the best fan fictions I've ever read. Certainly one of the best Dramione fanfictions I've ever read. Dramione is very hard to write. Storylines can easily become forced or not believable. But this fanfic has Dramione down perfectly. It's very well written, entertaining, and very very hot. :)

"Draco Malfoy was infiltrating her world. He had moved into her thoughts, a constant presence in her brain-space. Space she had never allowed anyone, not even her friends. When she was alone, he was there. Talking to her, touching her, pinning her with his arctic grey eyes. He was always there. And she wanted him to be. That was the part she didn’t understand.

And when he was really there, next to her, she couldn’t take her mind off how badly she wanted him to touch her again. On the leg, or the arm, or just a knowing look. Anything. And she spent those minutes acutely aware, at every moment, where every part of her body was, and where every part of his body was, and exactly how much space was between them."

I love how she characterized both Hermione and Draco. Hermione is a bookworm like always, but she's very independent and sure of herself. However, she is warm and kind. I felt like the Ilse grabbed Hermione's characters directly from the books. Like once she even directly compares Hermione's character in her fanfic story line to how Hermione acted in Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone: like she knew more than everyone and would take care of Neville even though this was her first year in the magical world and was probably scared crazy. And Draco is characterized as a bookwork too!! (omg!) But of course he is more 'cool' about it. He is a bit broody but not much. He's a responsible guy who acts Slytherin around his friends but he's not that much of an a-hole. But most of all I love how she didn't make Draco into the million of Draco-cliches you find in fanfiction. He is not a sex god, he doesn't suddenly turn into a good guy for no reason, he isn't perfect, and its just a lovely characterization. You just have to read it.

Lovely fanfic! The only bad thing is that it's not completed since the writer became pregnant. However, she wrote that she doesn't plan to give up on the fanfic. She is just on a bit of a vacation from it. Hopefully she does come back to finish. However, she has already written 30 chapters. The chapters are lenghty and a lot happens. And where Chapter 30 ends, its not really a cliff hanger. (thank goodness) Its totally worth the read. The story really draws you in. :) The last time the fanfic was updated was March 2009. So at least it hasn't been years of unactivity...it still has hope. :) STILL GREAT READ, COMPLETED OR NOT!
